Home service lets you get your motorcycle or scooter serviced at your home or workplace instead of coming to us. The service itself is included in your rental, but a travel fee applies for home service. You can also choose one of our service centres at Algester, Coopers Plains, or Yeronga.
What is home service?
Home service gives you another way to complete your regular vehicle maintenance. Instead of bringing your scooter or motorcycle to one of our service centres, a mechanic comes to your home or workplace.
The actual service is included in your rental, so you do not pay extra for the servicing itself. You only pay a travel fee for the mechanic to attend your location.
Service location options
When you book a service, you can choose from the available service locations on the form. Depending on the date and time selected, your options may include:
- Algester
- Coopers Plains
- Yeronga
- Home
Available locations can change based on the date and time you choose on the service form.
How to check the travel fee
Check the travel fee on the Book Service form.
Select Home Service as the location
In the Service location field on the service booking form, choose the Home Service option.
Enter your address in the address field
As soon as you select Home Service, an address field appears on the form. Type your address into this field.
Review the travel fee shown on the form
Once you enter your address, the travel fee is displayed directly on the service booking form.
Requirements for home service
If you want your vehicle serviced at home or work, make sure the location is suitable before you book.
- The vehicle is in a garage or covered area so the mechanic can work protected from weather
- There is proper lighting so the mechanic can see clearly
- There is enough space for the mechanic to work around the vehicle comfortably
- There is a power point nearby for tools or equipment that need power
- The vehicle is clean and easy to access
- Any pets are secured away from the work area
- Someone is available at the address at the agreed time
Make sure you select everything that needs servicing
When you book home service, include everything that needs servicing or replacing in the same booking. Check carefully before you submit the form.
If you miss something and the mechanic needs to travel back a second time to fix or replace it, you will need to pay the travel fee again.
What happens after you book
Once you book home service, the mechanic will call you to confirm the exact time and the servicing requirements. This call is used to finalise the details before the visit.
Be ready to confirm your address, access arrangements, and what needs to be done on the vehicle.
Your responsibility
Booking service on time and getting the vehicle serviced when it is due remains your responsibility, even if you choose home service. Read Service intervals if you need to check when your next service is due.
